![]() When we least expect it a powerful spiritual communication can come from the soft voice of Nature. In anthropology there is a belief that all of Nature – the elements, the plants and the animals have spirits. I believe in Spiritism which is the belief that not only is the nonhuman world alive, but it also possesses articulate and at times intelligible spirits, which can perceive, communicate and interact with us. On an intuitive level, we always know there is significance to our experiences in Nature. Here is a personal stories where there was some spiritual force associated with the phenomena and a unique delivery of the message. Many years ago, I was living for a short time on a ranch outside Boise, Idaho. I was packing my things and getting ready to move into town, when my ex-partner came into the room and said he had a gift for me. This felt strange as I was packing and we were in the middle of a divorce! I open up a box and pulled out a “bear claw” necklace. The minute I held the necklace in my hands, the vibe was off and I got a strong negative chill. I thanked him and placed it to the side until I figured out what I could do with it. The next day, I went to a dry creek bed near the house and buried it very deep into the sandy creek bottom. I knew no one would ever find it there and I was relieved to be rid of it. Here’s where it gets really strange. I moved into town and rented a home where I felt safe and could relax. As the last of my boxes and furniture was brought into my new residence, the moving company foreman handed me the bill. I’ll never forget the look on his face as he told me that he always checks one last time in the back of the moving truck and there in the middle of the floor of the truck was a Bear Claw Necklace! It was the same necklace that I had secretly buried in the dry creek bed. You might wonder what I did with the necklace. Well, while it was in my possession, there were some very bad dreams of being hurt by a black bear. It would chase me into a dark cave and I would hide. This negative dream went on for a little while finally, I knew what had to be done. As soon as possible, I found a medicine person who cleared its energy and I gave him the necklace as a gift. He told me in the right hands it was powerful. I was just relieve to be rid of it! Once I got rid of the necklace, all bad dreams stopped. There are two very important books to share with you on the subject of Nature Spirits and their possible messages: Nature Speaks and Animal Speak, both books are by Author Ted Andrews. These books include a comprehensive dictionary of the symbolisms of Nature. Thank you for listening, Badeish

![]() Encounters with spirits are not limited to séance rooms, old castles, or grave yards. Most people have had or will have some experiences with spirits and a variety of phenomena. Something will be seen or felt when nothing seems to be there. A voice may be heard when no one else is present or a feeling of someone standing behind or beside you. The face of a loved one who has passed on may be seen in a mirror or appear in a recent photograph. There are so many levels to phenomena that I’ve barely cracked the door open to this inter-dimensional space. All we know as humans is that our “sensory system” activates when phenomena is triggered. At times the energy of a spirit is so strong that it can cause a physiological response within the body, your hair on the neck or arms may stand up with a chill or there could be feeling a sensation of heat or cold. Another powerful reaction is the stimulation of an adrenal gland response. Adrenaline is the source of the body’s “fight or flight” reaction in times of stress and emergency. Unless we are aware that the mere presence of spirit can trigger this, when we experience this flow of adrenaline, it is easy to misinterpret it as a response to something negative or evil. In my many years of experience as a Psychic/Medium, 95% of the phenomena have been very positive. The energy of spirits found within nature often fit this category and easily triggers this physiological response. Nature Spirits can be photographed and make their presence known. Many times over the years either in our back yard, a forest, a mountain stream or near an ocean, my husband Jon Paul and I have photographed a variety of Nature Spirits. I’ll be sharing a story and this is a picture of an example of this kind of phenomena. Several years ago we lived on a property with 85 foot trees and even a few old redwoods. You could say we were blessed to have our own forest with a stream flowing behind the house. One afternoon Jon Paul and I were doing clean up in the back yard and I decided to take a break and sat down on a huge tree stump. Much to my surprise, I heard the phenomena of a female voice in my head and it said, “I am still alive deep in my roots, protect all the trees in your yard.” I then asked, “How old are you?” The tree’s spirit responded, “I am over a hundred years old and yes, I am still energetically active.” Just then, there was a holographic picture projected into my minds-eye of the matrix of the “tree’s root system”. Everything was projected in color representing the life force under my feet! In that moment, I felt a little crazy but my gut feelings took over and I asked for a validation. Much to my surprise, for a week after this phenomena there were amazing confirmations. One was in the form of a greeting card sent to me reflecting a tree with its roots showing and the other experiences were the metaphors people used to make a point in their conversation. It has been my experience that when there are three confirmations, Pay close attention! A few weeks later, directed by Spirit, I decided to buy a “Laughing Buddha” yard statue and place it on our huge tree stump to honor the old redwood’s life force. We took a picture right after it was placed on the old redwood stump. Later, we counted seven spirits in the photograph, in another photo taken at the same time, we saw another four images of spirits and one that was clearly a full body image of an Indian. We enlarged both photos and much to our surprise, you can see more faces and physical shapes surrounding the Buddha and, a perfect example of spirit phenomena. By the way, the Buddha is still laughing! We could believe nothing seems to be happening and we feel stuck. Whether through challenging experiences or simply a nagging sense of stagnation, our Spirit always presents opportunities to evolve spiritually. The key is to learn to control our thought processes and bring them into line with reality. Our Spirit is calling for a positive understanding of truth and a willingness to receive soul guidance. Spiritual direction sometimes calls for a spiritual companion or soul friendship with a mutual relationship of trust, sharing and listening. One person serves as a spiritual director (listener) and the others role is to participate in the process. The feedback from our spiritual companion gives feedback on what they have heard us share and act as a mirror or witness to the feelings shared. Though the process of honest and open communication, of sharing and listening, old ways of thinking that no longer serve us can be discovered and released. Please consider journaling answers to these questions while utilizing the contribution of a spiritual companion. Asking the right questions has the power to change your life. · Do you let yourself be consumed by obligations and resigned to drudgery? · What and how much do you believe you deserve from life? · What is your level of self-worth? How much do you truly appreciate who you are? · What about “should not, can’t, or fears?” This forbidden negative territory limits your dreams and aspirations! It is important that they are identified, processed, and eliminated from your thoughts and belief system. · Do you delay gratification for later in life? · Does your life feel like all work and no play? · How often do you dare to ask for what you want? · How much of your time is spent on what you need to do, vs. what you want to do? · What are you pretending not to know? · When is the last time you had a really good belly laugh? · Are you self-validating? When is the last time you experienced it? · When is the last time you said yes when you really wanted to say NO---- or the other way around? · How does your age affect your decisions? · What hearts desires have been put on a shelf? What excuses do you tell yourself for not taking any action? · Do you eat to live or live to eat? What is the difference between the two? · What are your new goals for the future? ![]() This story is how “Signs of Animal Totems” can affect your life. Years ago, I had prayed for guidance because I was in an upset state of mind due to a marriage that was ending. A day later, living on a ranch outside of Boise, Idaho, my husband called to me to come outside and walk down the driveway with him. Much to my surprise a field mouse was dancing in circles, jumping up and down throwing dirt in the air and next to our drive way. Standing there for over a minute, I then watched the little mouse jump up and die as it fell to the ground. The little field mouse left its body with a loud squeak. I was taken back and upset at having this experience during a turbulent time in my marriage and watching my partner at this time be amused. I was not! The next day I went to a gas station to put water in my radiator and check my battery. The mid-aged attendant open the hood on my 280Z and came over to the driver’s side of the car. He bent down with this very serious look on his face and said, “Lady, I have never see anything like this before. You have a dead mouse on your battery and it looks like it is preserved or it could have died yesterday.” He was confused and concerned all at the same time. Needless to say, I was shocked because at that moment it became very clear that I might be dealing with something more serious and Mother Nature was giving me the warning! A few days later, I was in a golf cart thinking surely it was safe to be on the golf course following my husband’s golf game. The terrain was flat in most places but also rolling with stops on plateaus. The paved path we were driving on was now going downhill towards a hairpin turn. The cart started to slow down and off to the right was a grouping of four Jack rabbits standing on their hind legs in a line up, and all of them looking right at me! Paws up and maybe fifteen feet from the moving cart. If you know anything about Jack Rabbits, they don’t hang out or want to be seen. In this case, I knew this was another direct-shamanistic experience and sign to get out of the relationship. This was not an “Alice in Wonderland” signature as my body chilled with fear for what might happen next. It is more than a warning, it means to not box yourself in a corner. There is a need to flee as soon as it is possible. A bad chill went through my body and as we were coming out of the turn, my husband put on the gas and almost turned the cart over. He knew he had scared me and with no apology, he finished his golf game. You might say why I didn’t get out and leave. The truth is that the golf course was far from town and I didn’t have a plan in place. One day I asked this husband what animal he thought represented him and his answer was without a smile and serious expression, “I am an Armadillo and a Porcupine.” Truly there were some major life lessons played out and today, I am thankful for the strength and faith in Mother Nature doing its part to support a naive woman trying to find her way.
